About Us

What we do and why

Over 1.7 million refugees in Uganda struggle to make ends meet on a daily basis, refugee support remains limited. The Bitcoin Innovation Hub was started to assist these refugees with more opportunities, resources, job training and placement, and to prevent further human trafficking of migrants in seeking better lives. Our team, comprised of refugees, strives to strengthen our commitment and connection to those we serve.

What does the Bitcoin Innovation Hub do?

The Bitcoin Innovation Hub aims to empower individuals, businesses, and communities across the region to harness the transformative potential of Bitcoin. Our goal is to empower as many refugees as possible with skills that enable them to earn in bitcoin.

  • Step 1 — Gain a skill.
  • Step 2 — Apply that skill to the hub.
  • Step 3 — Apply your skills as an entrepreneur in the real world.
How long are courses?

Courses are two (2) to three (3) months long. This will depend on the program you are in.

How much do courses cost?

Courses are FREE.

Students pay UGX 20,000 per month for site service and operation fees.

Will I receive a certificate after completing a course?

Yes. You will receive a free electronic certificate after completing a course. Your electronic certificate will be verifiable on our company domain. Your certificate can be made available in hard copy for a fee.

Is this program available for everyone?

Classes are exclusively available for refugees.
